The Burgex team is excited to announce that we will be participating in the World Trade Center Utah and Governor’s Office of Economic Development trade mission to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in April of 2020.
On this trade mission, we will be engaging with high-level business and investment leaders, receive market briefings by in-county experts and the U.S. Commercial Service, attend networking receptions, and participate in company visits and meetings. We are excited to be returning to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia once again to explore the mineral exploration and mining potential of the largest economy in the Arab World. Burgex visited Saudi Arabia in 2014 and was impressed by the amount of raw mineral development potential found in the country and the peoples enthusiasm for economic diversification into mining and beyond.
With a GDP of approximately $684 billion and the second largest U.S. export market in the Gulf Region, Saudi Arabia is a major importer of U.S. services. With the recent push to diversify the Saudi economy, we believe this trade mission offers a great opportunity for Burgex to present our services to the countries growing mining and mineral exploration sector.
In addition to Saudi Arabia, the trade mission will also be visiting Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. This is an excellent opportunity for Burgex to expand our international reach and potentially help some of our existing clients connect with investment sources that are eager to expand participation in the non-petroleum natural resource market. The U.A.E. is the top Gulf U.S. export market and is a critical regional hub for over 1,500 American companies doing business throughout the Middle East. The U.A.E. is a major investor in the United States and has expressed an interest in participating in the development of mineral exploration and mining projects in the country.
